“For the word of the LORD is right and true; He is faithful in all he does.” (Psalms 33:4)

Hello! How is everyone?  I hope well.  I was thinking about what I was going to write about and while I was thinking, I was overcome with the loving faithfulness of God. I am going away in 2 weeks to Israel and God helped with finances-not because I deserved it; but because He delights n bestowing His love on His child.  Doesn’t that sound like a loving father? I didn’t have a father or father figure in my life, so seeing God as my Heavenly Father was difficult for me in the beginning of my relationship with Him. “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling.” (Psalm 68:5) God let me know from my very first day of salvation that He will never leave me or forsake me. “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

To really get to know who God is, one needs to read the Bible because in it is where His true character is. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word  was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. ) You may be reading this and thinking “what? Why are you doing this?” I’ll tell you why.  I want you to realize that God is not far, far, away so that He cannot commune with His children or creation.  I want you to know that God has always been here from the inception of His creation. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” ( 1 John 1:14)  The promise we have because of this is “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”(1 John 1:9) Remember, He is a holy God and  when we confess our sins, it’s as if our “slates”are wiped clean and we are now in a new life that is to purified from sin.  Try to picture wearing a white shirt. Your appearance is clean and bright.  Now picture that same white shirt with a little black stain from a pen.  That little bit of black stain (like our sin) ruins the purity of the new shirt we put on (the holiness of new life in Jesus/Yeshua) That’s why “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Rom 10:9)

God is so very faithful to those He loves.  He has a purpose and a plan for those that belong to Him. God’s purposes do not change. “The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations” (Psalm 33:11). God “wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised” (Hebrews 6:17). We become His heirs the minute we receive Jesus into our hearts and with that come all of His promises towards us.  We now bear the name of Christ because we entered into a covenant with God. Immediately His Spirit dwells within us. “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of a man that he should change his mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19) God’s truth does not change. “The word of God stands forever. (Isaiah40:8) Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”(Matthew 24:35)

If you find the time, start reading the Bible and start in the Gospel of John.  This is where you really begin to see God’s love for you. The faithful promises of God were written down so that we would a) know what they are; and b) know that they are ours for the taking because they are now available to us.  God does not go back on His word or His promises.  He is very clear as to His “yes” and “no”.  He does change His mind either.  He is not a God of confusion-one day He means one thing and a different opinion on another day.  As a matter of fact He says “I the Lord do not change.” (Malachi 3:6).

God is faithful and so is His love for you.  He is here for you whenever you want to commune with Him. Remember, “Jesus Christ is “the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

Until we meet again, I pray that you walk Every Day With Grace.

In His love,

Did you know that God loves you?
