Hello. Can you believe the holidays are already upon us? Yesterday (12/8) was the first night of Hanukkah-which is the Festival of Lights; and Christmas is coming up rapidly approaching in the next two weeks. Holidays can be viewed with lots of pressure and loneliness for many people-especially this year because of the storm that devastated so many in the Northeast only 6 weeks ago. I do believe the storm made people a little more aware of the fact that they need to count their blessings especially when I have seen many pulling together and helping one another out. God can and does work through people.
Sadly, during this season when loneliness seems to creep in and become overwhelming, there are some people who don’t think that they have much value as a human being and I am here to tell you that God says in His Word that you are fearfully and wonderfully made because we were created in His image. God has said “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the psalms of my hands;” (Isaiah 49:15-16). God’s love is for those who want it and even for those who don’t. When Jesus was nailed to the cross paying for the sins of all mankind, those very real nails went through the imprint of you on His hand and straight on to His body in place of you. All of the devils accusations and lies about you were nailed to Jesus because “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perishbut have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17).
Jesus is the embodiment of true unconditional love. His love gave us real value, the understanding of love and sacrifice and eternal life once one repents (walks away from) sin. Once we ask Jesus into our lives, we will never have to be lonely again. God’s word says “One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24).
We are never alone as long as we invite Jesus to walk along side of us and remember that we were made in His image-how awesome is that?
I pray that you walk Every Day With Grace.
In His Love,
