“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Hello.  How is everyone? How are you progressing forward as we are now officially in March?  The beginning of spring is only days away-which of course brings a new season and a new chapter in our lives! I don’t know about you; but after this very long winter, I want to embrace a new season!   My friend, Amy and I have been praying for months (especially during this winter) that God would cause change in our lives. One thing we learned for certain is that one needs to be as specific as possible in prayer because you may pray in one direction; and God may answer it in a way that seems to come out of left field!.“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)

You may ask, “so, what are you trying to say?” The point is that there are seasons in our lives. Some may be physical (a growth of a child; relocating to a new home…) some may be emotional When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” (1 Corinthians13:11), and many seasons are spiritual “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-Amplified) I realize that there are various reactions when a season in life comes to an end.  Sometimes we struggle to let go because even though we may not be comfortable in our season, but, we are familiar with it-thus letting go is difficult because we see the season only from our perspective and not from God’s perspective.“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  (Jeremiah 29:11) I think the hard part for most of us is believing that God actually does have plans for us and that’s why we don’t let go of our current season.“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”  (Isaiah 43:18-19)

The way I see it, the only choice we really have is to move forward with God. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”  (1 Peter 1:3) God is faithful to His own; He will show us how to move with change. “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”  (Psalm 90:12) I think one of the great things in a new season, is that it gives us the opportunity to re-evaluate and re-organize our lives. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.   And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.   Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.” (Ezekiel 36:26-28) I am so grateful God gives us new seasons in our lives just as He gives us actual physical seasons as well. For instance-today was a beautiful, sunny, warm day! A day like this, gives us something to really look forward to as we gradually enter a new season. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17) “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 3:13-14)

As you walk Every Day With Grace, and as we enter Spring, try to really embrace the season God is bringing you in to. Don’t let the fear of the unknown stand in the way of what God wants to do in your lives. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” (Lamentations 3: 22-24)

I want to leave you with some additional promises of God’s Word for you to hold on to as you enter your new season:

“A blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.”  (Deuteronomy 23:5)

 “May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.”  (Psalm 20:4)

 “Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.  Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,…” (1 Chronicles 16:11-12)

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”  (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.  He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.”  (James 1:17-18)

Hello everyone! I miss writing to you! My life is in transition right now.  I am in between places to live. I received a letter from my letter stating she wants to put her house up for sale, so long story short, I had to move.  I am staying with family for the moment while trying to find a place to live.  I know this too shall pass, but, if you remember me, please pray for me. God is faithful to His children, so, I know He will provide a place for me (hopefully sooner than later 🙂 I am actually writing this while I am at my doctor’s office because He has Wifi.  To God be the glory for the things we have become accustomed to. 🙂

Clock to Blog I would like to let to encourage you in whatever that you may be going through to know that God has not forgotten you in your trials either. “My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.” (Psalm 119:50) God preserves us as we go THROUGH the trials of life…and I thank God it does not last forever-even though it may feel like forever.  That’s why there are seasons in life. God gives the four seasons as object lessons.  We have Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall; four seasons in (1) year. So it within our life. The summer that just passed was so hot for so long-it seemed like it would not end.  But, it did…and now it is October! “The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.  Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!  The LORD’s right hand is lifted high; the LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!” (Psalm 118:14-16)

Even though I do not know where I will find a place to live, I know God has me in the palm of His hand. “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.” (Psalm 55:22) I stand on the promises of God’s Word. That is the only thing we have that is a sure thing. “I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:8) One of the true things my dear friend, Amy says is this”who or what else do we have as these days get darker and scarier? We only have God to protect us, provide for us, heal us and deliver us.” These trials are preparing God’s people to rely on Him and Him alone. It’s not the government that will come to our aid, but the LORD God, Jesus, Himself! “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

My blog will be a little short this week, but, I will try to get a little more stability to write and encourage you all in the love of God.  Time is a funny thing. Ever person gets the same amount of time every day-24 hours in one day. Sometimes it seems to fly away, sometimes it seems to drag and so many time we waste it on silly things. I believe that how we handle our time during our trials will affect the “season” that we are currently experiencing. That is why the Bible says “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5: 15-16) God is there with us in every season of our lives.

As you Walk Every Day With Grace, ask God to guide you in the season that you are in and know that He is there with every season that changes.
