Hello. How are you? How is your week going? As I like to say, “Slow and steady wins the race.” In other words, I am still continuing on-seeking God for His will in my life as my trial continues. One of the things I am desiring during my life’s inconsistency right now is peace-especially since things are unsettled. The only way one obtains peace is through God. God brings peace to His us because of His great love and compassion for us.
Did you ever realize how hard it is to sleep or rest, or, for that matter concentrate when there is no peace in your life?“In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8) Sometimes it is hard to function when life is upside with derision. It can definitely leave one physically and emotionally exhausted. However, God gives us strength when we go through life’s trials. “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” (Psalm 29:11)
I know when I go through life’s trials, my temptation is to complain (I don’t always fight the temptation-I go with it. I’m not necessarily proud of this-just honest about it.) I also want to take out my anger on whomever-people at work, family, other drivers…I’m not too picky. Of course during these times, God is NOT pleased with my attitude. “Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous And His ears are open to their cry. (Psalm 34:13-15) When we act so ungodly (which is what this behavior is), we forget that God sees and hears EVERYTHING we do! In reality all we need to do is turn to the Lord and give Him our cares so He can carry them and give us His peace it its place. “Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.(Psalm 55:22)
As you Walk Every Day With Grace, my prayer for you is that you seek after the peace God has waiting for you especially during stressful times of trials. God loves you and wants to share His peace and compassion with you so you grow close to Him while you get to know Him.
In His Love,
